Get Ready For CAMP PARANORMAL 4: GHOSTS OF LAKE MARION!!!

AN EVENT HELD BY PRS ENTERTAINMENT LLC.

Camp Paranormal is a multi-day event where PRS transforms a campground into a hub for paranormal discussion, discovery and experiences.  This year, Camp Paranormal will take place at PALMETTO SHORES (Lake Marion, SC).  We have reserved 7 cabins, along with a staff cabin.  Each cabin accommodates 5-6 people and includes a living room, kitchen, full bathroom and satellite TV.  With Camp Paranormal being so close to Buell's hometown, guests will get to tour the grounds of the historic Salem Black-River Church, where Buell conducted his first paranormal investigation.  And there is a tentative evening trip to Charleston, SC for a ghost tour.  There will be workshops, ghost stories over a bonfire, daily activities and a haunted boat tour over Lake Marion (an artificial lake covering up an old town).

Come be a part of the experience.  April 5th - 8th, 2018!

Tour Salem-Black River Church & Sightings Of The Lizard Man.

Camp Paranormal will check out two haunted locations near the campground.  First up, Salem Black River Church, which was built in the late 1700s and hosts a very historic cemetery that includes Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers.  It's also the first place Ryan Buell investigated.

At age 16, Buell toured the grounds after receiving a tip from a friend.  He and a teammate believe they captured some rather unique EVPs.  Other teams have checked out the grounds.  Numerous eye witnesses have claimed to have seen ghostly apparitions around the grounds in the day and evening.  The church is also near Black River Swamp, where sightings of the infamous lizard man occurred in 1988.

A Ghost Town Sits At The Bottom Of Lake Marion.

Camp Paranormal 4 will take place at Palmetto Shores Resort on Lake Marion (Summerton, SC).  Many come to Lake Marion in the spring and summer to enjoy boating, fishing and water ski'ing.  But out-of-towners may not be aware that an entire town is buried below the surface, including a church and cemetery.  The lake offers many islands.

During Camp Paranormal, attendees will get to board the USS Paranormal (okay, it's a pontoon boat, but still!) for a ride over the waters, where we'll share ghost stories and check out parts of the town that pop up over the surface.

What To Expect At Camp Paranormal

Camp Paranormal is completely different from other PRS events.  The idea is to stay on-site and invoke the spirit of a camp retreat - cabin quarters, getting to know like-minded people, tell ghosts stories over a bonfire, etc.  It is a paranormal retreat.

You'll be assigned to a cabin.  If this is your first time attending a PRS event, don't worry.  Most attendees come alone and every one of them walk away from friends.  People come from all over the world to share in the experience.

You can check out the schedule of events below.  Your stay includes three nights lodging.  There's a restaurant on-site.  Your cabin has a kitchen.  There are pools and many other activities to enjoy when we're not discussing the otherworldly or conducting experiments or taking short trips to check out some of South Carolina's most haunted spots!

I'm not an experienced paranormal investigator.  Is this for me?

You do not need to be an experienced investigator to enjoy this investigation event.  It is for novices and seasoned investigators, alike.

I'm coming by myself and I don't know anyone.  I'm afraid of not fitting in.

Everyone started out just like you.  But please know that you'll be amongst like-minded people, and it is VERY easy to make friends.  We are all sharing in an adventure together.  A unique life experience during this 3-day event.  You will have a good time as long as you have a good attitude about you.

Just so we're clear, what IS included with the ticket price?

The ticket price for the event is $575.00.  It includes three nights lodging, plus all event activities such as the tours, boat ride and the Charleston tour.

What IS NOT included in the ticket price?

Food.  Linens.  Bath towels.  Transportation to the event.

So, we're going off-site three times.  To Salem Black River, to Charleston and on a boat.  How do I get there?

There will be enough vehicles for people to carpool together.  For those of you driving, we will ask that you help take a couple people if you have room in your car when we go to Salem Black River or Charleston.

We're going over water... I don't know how to swim.

That's okay.  The alligators teach you how to swim.

Will food be provided during the investigation?

Food is not included.  However, your cabin has a fully functional kitchen complete with plates, bowls, silverware, an oven, cups, cooking ware, a microwave, refrigerator, oven and coffee maker.  There is also a restaurant on site.

Are We Allowed To Bring Paranormal Investigation Equipment? Yes.  We encourage this, especially for the Charleston tour.

Is alcohol permitted on site?

You are allowed to bring alcohol.  We ask, however, that you keep from being drunk around the grounds.
